Zillow is neat. You have to like the map showing all the houses nearby with their appraisal prices. As far as accuracy of the appraisal it was about 7 percent less than the tax assessor appraisal. The tax appraisal value was the lowest appraisal I had seen of my house until I saw the Zillow appraisal. ...now if I could just get the tax assessor to reduce my taxes based on zillow.

zillow is a good site for news and information. It isnt accurate when it comes to the real home values. we at http://www.mnlakeplace.com specialize in lake homes in minnesota and seen a big difference in what zillow.com has on their site and the actual value on the mls. Nothing beats experience in a local market.

Zillow.com is NOT accurate in Phoenix, AZ. It is 5 to 6 months behind in calculating comps. The info is great, but not up to date

If zillow.com knows everything about my home, why did they ask so many questions during the registration? I feel that they rely on home seller's input, which may not be correct and I can not trust this company to set market price of my home.

The trouble with this site is it is Tax records and they are never correct at least in Georgia. The prices on my street are a joke they are at least $100000. under the price

Also zillow.com says that when you show your home to prospective buyers you need to "keep your eyes open and your mouth shut". Let me ask you this: If I keep my mouth shut, how in this world will I tell buyers what is so GOOD about my house??

Zillow web site is good, but they recommend to hire realtors to sell homes. I know many home owners in Chicago who sold their homes without using any real estate agents. You can check price of homes using zillow.com, but do not listen to their advices!

I think Zillow is very good for at least people who are otherwise at the mercy of real estae agents for the comps. I am sure this is first generation and will improve with more and more people uses it.....I likes before you had appriciation of value last month and now you dont show it

A couple of comments: 1. Specific address is more accurate than zip code. You may want to make that suggestion along with the notation that addresses are not kept. Many including myself are address shy on the internet. 2. The data on property information was way off. You must use up to date info which certainly must effect the number. 3. More confidence in you number can be had by a simple notation as to how the price was achieved. Otherwise its relative to the homes surrounding but as a price initself means nothing and does buyers and sellers a disservice. 4. Price of the surrounding properties appears off by about $200,000. Some part of your formula is not working. 5. The info flag almost covers the property, it should extend more away from the subject property for readability.

Zillow.com doesn't support the Safari brower that I use for my mac. I don't think it will work for my property rental in northwest Florida, as it's a very rural community. I think I tried it and the address didn't come up.

Your Appraisal Service looks on the surface to be ok but you missed our home by over $45,000.00 Dollars due in part to incorrect Sq footage and lack of Heated pool none of which show up in the tax records correctly. You may want to allow for this error.

The site shows our home as it was when we bought it 2 yrs ago...price may have been right for then, but what we have done to it adds much value, plus we think the location and view increase valaue...ome of these things are intangible, but will affect abilty to sell it for more...
