Tip 6. Negotiate
When you find a property you like, you can negotiate the price you were offered. Negotiating prices is not typical in American business and you might feel uncomfortable negotiating the price of a house. However, if you don't like the price, you have to negotiate. Don't take personally anything that happens during negotiation. The process might be somewhat unpleasant, but remember that the final goal of negotiation is to come to a final agreement on the price of a home that makes buyer and seller both happy. The first offer is usually 5-7% below the asking price, depending on the level of demand and current market conditions.
