Ask your county when they allow FSBO signs to be placed on major road intersections. In some cities in Illinois you can place FSBO sign from Friday till Sunday eve, exact time may vary from city to city. However make sure you take it off on time. It is worth doing it, because people are looking for homes on weekends

Paying $500 for MLS is not such a good idea. If you did not specify commission fees there, no agent will work with you, because the first number that they see is how much commissions they will be paid if they bring you a customer- that was one of the agents told me.

Dear MiaDomo.com Team, I believe the best way to to sell your home in this buyer's market would be exposures. I listed my property with a flat fee realtor listing online. These companies would charge you between $375 - $500 to list your house in the Multiple Listing System that Realtor agents could get access to and Realtors.com got their listings from. Yes, you are still selling your home the SEll By Owner style. I also put my listing on every possible sell by owner sites including Craiglist.com. and this site. Right, I had yard signs and 3 Open Houses. I did my homework and also was lucky too. I do hope the best for you. Sincerely, TRINH, HA

We got sucked into the BuyOnwer nightmare. Luckily we were able to cancel the $3,000.00 mortgage they were going to put on the house to pay for the $5,000.00 the required to market out property. The other $2,000.00 was on a credit card. The day after we signed the contract we canceled it but were told we couldn't cancel it. That's not what we were told by their agent. Said we had 3 days. So, we are disputing the charge on the credit card. Don't know if we will prevail. It was a nightmare, we wrote letters etc. Some of their employees were very rude too. They had our house on their website for 2 weeks, no calls, no e-mails. Then they tried to tell us that it cost more than $6,000.00 to put us on their website. What a joke! Anyway, thought you would like to know there are probably a lot of unhappy Buyowner victims out there. Jane

I wish I would have recieved this a couple of weeks ago. I was desperate. Now I'm $6000.00 in hock with them. I pray I'm a lucky one.

If I was you, I would get these money back - these are a lot of money. If they were charged on your visa card, recall it and claim it as fraudulent. We came from Bulgaria and I know value of $7000 (because of small salaries we were not able to pay our debt of $5000 for first 2 years we lived in the USA) Good luck to you!

We paid BuyOwner.com $7100 UPFRONT to “use their program”. Sure, they provided all the necessary services, provided signs and did minimal advertising. BUT we were NEVER to the point we could use the provided services (lawyer, mortgage company, etc). We had ONLY ONE phone call from someone that saw our home on the website and NO ONE from the BuyOwner magazine. In summary, we paid $7100 for 2 signs, an ad in their magazine, space on their website and a virtual tour. We should have done more research prior to signing up with BuyOwner. There are so many good, less expensive companies that provide the same services. We have advised everyone we know NOT to use BuyOwner. You can use these comments on your website – please leave off my name and email address. Thank you!

I love what you are trying to do. I so appreciated the real estate forms. Some sites who charge more give less and even charge for the forms. Good for you!! You are going to do great because you give more for less!!! That is the reason people are trying to do the "for sale by owner" thing. To save some funds. Anyway just wanted to give you that feed back.
